Barbara J. Barron

Barbara J. Barron, age 74 of Washington, passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Evansville. She was born on March 26, 1938 in Fort Wayne to Harold and Ethel (Braun) Brown. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church where she had been a Sunday school teacher and had sung in the church choir. She was a Volunteer at the Washington Nursing Home bingo and had worked the church sign. She had also been a Girl Scout Leader. She is survived by her husband, Robert 'Bob' Barron, whom she married on September 6, 1958; two daughters, Dawn Barron of Washington and Theresa (Donald) Spallone of Terre Haute; one son, Matthew Barron of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Christopher Spallone and Cody Spallone both of Terre Haute; her mother Ethel Hilbish of Washington; one sister, Jean Hartman of Fort Wayne; one step sister, Verna Loper of Portland; and one step brother, Jerry Hilbish of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Brown; her step father, Robert Hilbish; and one brother, John Hilbish. Funeral Services will be at 11:30 AM on Saturday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Pastor George Qualley officiating. Burial will follow in Sugarland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4 to8 PM on Friday at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
