John (Tim) Timothy Fox
April 12, 1955 - April 7, 2018

John Timothy “Tim” Fox, age 62, of Washington, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at 4:45 a.m. the IU Simon Cancer Center in Indianapolis.


He was born on April 12, 1955 in Gary, Indiana to John and Ester (Barrett) Fox. He graduated from Highland High school in 1973, where he was the 1973 state runner up in wrestling. Tim enjoyed playing golf with his dad and brothers and loved spending time with his grandchildren. He had worked for Thompson Thrift Construction of Terre Haute, Indiana, where he was a valued and respected construction superintendent. Tim was a lifelong leader in the construction business, being responsible for projects all across the United States. However, his favorite construction project was building his own home where all of his beloved family could be together sitting on the back porch.


He is survived by his wife, Kim (Colvin) Fox, whom he married February 6, 1993; mother, Ester Fox of Manteno, Illinois; sons, Jacob Fox of Loogootee and Logan Fox of Washington; daughters, Gretchen (James) Raetz of Loogootee and Heather Fox of Washington; brothers, Jeff (Ivory) Fox of Ave Maria, Florida, Patrick (Margie) Fox of Hebron, Indiana; seven grandchildren he adored, Haylee, Kyle, Luc, Gunner, Anna, Emma and Ava; mother-in-law, Helen M. Colvin of Loogootee


He was preceded in death by his father, John Fox and father-in-law, Gerald Colvin.


A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Friday at Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church with Fr Paul Ferguson as celebrant. Burial will follow at St Peter Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Ed Lee Mortuary.


Memorial donations may be given to Daviess County Relay for Life.
