Rita Jane Mattingly, age 65 of Washington, passed away at 9:38 AM on Saturday May 29, 2010 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. She was born on October 29, 1944 in Washington to Edward and Irene (Abel) Kelly . She was a 1962 Graduate of Washington High School and she attend Indiana Business College. She was a avid quilter, and member of both the Wesley United Methodist Church and Wesley United Methodist Women's Group. She is survived by her husband, Daniel C. Mattingly whom she married on June 10, 1966; two daughters and sons in-law, Laura and John D. Lashley of Washington, and Christy and JD Flynn of Loogootee; one son and daughter in-law, Matthew and Lori Mattingly of Petersburg; five grandchildren, Megan Lashley, Damon Lashley, Kinsey Mattingly, Dylan Mattingly, and Carsyn Mattingly. She was preded in death by an infant son, Daniel Joseph Mattingly on November 21, 1969 and one brother, Pattrick Kelly. A graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11:30 AM at St. John Cemetery with Rev. Clyde Wake Officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 AM on Wednesday at Wesley United Methodist Church in Washington. Memorial donations may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church or to Our Lady of Hope Catholic Church. Condolences may be sent online at www.edleemortuary.com
