Michael W. Rupe, 75 of Glenwood, IA, passed away on August 21, 2020 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 29, 2020 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Loess Hills Funeral Home of Glenwood in charge of arrangements.

Michael Wallis Rupe, 75 of Glenwood, IA, passed away on August 21, 2020 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA.
Mike was born on April 11, 1945 in Birmingham, England, the son of Gerald and Eileen (Wallis) Rupe. He served in the National Guard, obtained his associate's degree, and was a lifelong resident of Glenwood following his move from England. Mike owned and operated Rupe's Pub and a liquor store in Glenwood for many years.
Mike and Lois Jean Peters were united in marriage on December 29, 1972 in Omaha, Nebraska. They were blessed with two sons, Michael and Nicholas.
Mike was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church and the Harvey T. Rimel Legion Post 141 in Glenwood. He enjoyed spending time in Branson and going to the lake where he enjoyed swimming and water skiing and was a regular "river rat".
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; sisters-in-law, Carol Russell, Mary Beth Peters, and Rita Peters; and brother-in-law Bill McCarter.
Mike is survived by his wife of 47 years, Lois Rupe of Glenwood; sons, Michael T. Rupe of Glenwood and Nicholas J. Rupe of Grandview, MO; brother-in-law, Ronald Peters and family; sister-in-law, Patricia McCarter and family; several nieces and nephews; other relatives; and a host of friends.
