Deborah Mary Schaefer, age 70, daughter of Frederick and Betty (Klocke) Weitl, was born on August 21, 1949 in Carroll, Iowa. She passed away on August 17, 2020 in Omaha, Nebraska.

Deborah is preceded in death by her parents, Frederick and Betty Weitl; and brothers, Rick and Kevin Weitl. She is survived and will be missed by her loving husband, Melvin Schaefer Jr.; son, Nick (Debra) Schaefer and their children, Jakob and Nathan; daughter, Jodi (Cyndi) Schaefer and their daughter, Emily; son, Heath Ryan Schaefer; siblings: Sharon Perrien, Barb (Merle) Hallinan, Lisa Drees, Robyn (Tom) Lawler, Kenneth Weitl; and many other family and friends.

MEMORIAL SERVICE will be at 1:00 P.M., Sunday, August 23, 2020 at Forest Lawn Funeral Home.

The service will be streamed live on Forest Lawn Cemetery's Facebook page starting approximately five minutes prior to 1:00 P.M. A link will provided below at 12:45 P.M. as another option to watch the stream.
