In loving memory of

Johnny Weddle
April 27, 1945 - August 12, 2020

Johnny Lloyd Weddle was born to Roxie and Maxine Weddle on April 27, 1945 in Albany, Missouri. He spent much of his younger life in Missouri and ended up in West Des Moines where he graduated from Valley High School.

For years Johnny owned his own businesses mostly involving trucking. In 1992 he married Connie and they moved to warmer climate in NE Texas where they had family.

After he retired, he and his wife, Connie, became full-time RVers and spent time traveling around the country and spent most of the winters in NE Texas and summers in Iowa.

Johnny loved NASCAR, and he loved the Weddle Reunion. He treasured his family and friends.

Johnny is survived by his wife Connie; sisters Betty Snow and Marilyn (Howie) Elliott; children Jeff (Karmen) Weddle of Dallas Center, IA, Wendy (Matt) Edwards of Pleasant Hill, IA, Rick Drake of McAlester, OK, Jason (Jenny) Drake of Winterset, IA, and Jeff Drake of Powderly, TX; 13 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, older brother Jack Hon, and brother-in-law Lewis (Tee) Snow.

Johnny has been cremated and at his request no service will be held. We will have a Celebration of Life get together for all of Johnny's friends and family at Jeff and Karmen's home at 1607 Walnut, Dallas Center at 4:00 pm on Sunday, August 16. We will have another Celebration of Life get together in Texas at a later date.
