"I met Mara shortly after her graduation from ASU when she joined the sales team at the award company I worked at. We quickly became friends and that\'s where I met her dad and mom. After she started her fulfilling career at Honeywell we continued to stay in touch. When we would meet for lunch, her mom, dad, sister, \"the kids\", grandma and her dog were all topics we caught up on. Her stories were always so full of love and pride in her family. She was such an avid listener.. she wanted stories about my family. We have laughed and cried together over our families highs and lows. I\'ve read every tribute written here, some of you I know, some of you I don\'t know, but we are all joined in our love for this very precious woman. Mr and Mrs Weber, thank you so much for being such wonderful parents. In Mara you gave a gift to the world. Paula and family please remember how very much she loved each of you and may that love bring you comfort. "I met Mara when I lived in AZ and worked for the JW. She was a client who became a friend. After leaving AZ for TX we kept in touch. I was so excited when the HUG event moved to TX to my JW here. Mara and i got together for a glass of wine and to catch up. She was one of the first to reach out to me when I told people about my diagnosis in Jan. "We met 40 years ago but didn?t become friends until much later, when we were adults and got involved in 20/30. There are so many memories ? of galas and fundraisers, dinners and brunches, book club and spa days, Passover seders and Easter brunches, Super Bowl parties and New Year?s Eve parties. You always believed you didn?t need a special occasion to drink champagne and if you found something you thought a friend would like then you would buy it and give it to them. You suggested that shopping for birthdays and the holidays is an all-year-round activity and the bins of trinkets and treasures in my storage closest attest to the fact that I took your advice.
