"If I had to choose one word to describe Carolyn, it would be very hard. Kindness and loving both come to mind. She deeply loved her family and I?m sure you will miss her very much. I still remember all the long talks we had in Brookfield. May God grant you peace and comfort as you grieve your loss. So very sorry that this sweet kind woman is no longer here. Peace be with you all. Kim Hile"

"My best memories with Carolyn were going to the scrapbooking parties. We always had loads of fun. I loved teasing her at work, we were more like sisters. I miss her terribly even though the past few years we were only able to talk through Facebook, it was like we were still together having fun. I miss you so much Carolyn. You are the sister I never had."

"Carolyn was like a second mom to me. I can still hear her infectious laugh. She had a wonderful sense of humor and always made us kids feel accepted and listened to. One of the strongest, most patient, welcoming, accepting, beautiful mamas I was blessed to know and love."
