Jimmy Gibbs

Jimmy Gibbs, 62, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, on the evening of Friday July 24th, 2020.

Jimmy was born on October 3rd, 1957 in Beech Grove, Indiana. He was one of 7 children born to the late Jesse Wayland Gibbs and Mary Magdalene (Spradley) Gibbs. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Peter Gibbs and Damascus Gibbs and 1 sister, Mary Sandra (Gibbs) Kendall.

On January 18th, 1985 he married his beloved wife of 35 years, Theresa Ann (Cummins) Gibbs. He attended Greenhouse Church. He enjoyed playing cards, fishing, serving the Lord, and spending time with his family. He was a hardworking man, with a great sense of humor, who loved his family and especially his grandchildren very much.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, his 4 children, Deanna Cummins, Tonya Gibbs, Timothy Gibbs, and Tamerra Gibbs, 1 brother, Michael Gibbs, 2 sisters, Virginia Gibbs, and Katie Gibbs, 9 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

Jimmy was loved by many and will be missed by all, but we know he awaits our arrival into the gates of heaven and the day we meet again.
