February 3, 1942 - July 18, 2020
Rose Kelly Waycaster, 78, of Hopewell, VA, passed away, peacefully on Saturday, July 18,2020. Born in Nuttallburg, WV., She was the daughter of the late Russell Kelly and Annie Willis Kelly of Lansing, WV. She was preceded in death by her husband Bruce C. Waycaster and grandson TSgt. Phillip A. Myers. USAF who was killed in Afghanistan. She was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother and great- grandmother. She took great pride and joy in her family and loved spending time with them. She will be dearly missed. She is finally reunited with the love of her life, Bruce.
Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter Treasa Hamilton (Jeff) of Polkton, NC, son Bruce D. Waycaster (Fiancé Yvette Perez) of Cornelius, NC, daughter Shirley Semlali of Hopewell, VA and son James Waycaster of Waverly, VA.
Her sister Elizabeth (Betty) Kelly Hohensee and brother Dennis Willis of Oak Hill, WV.
Grandchildren, Sean (Krystle) Myers, Aimee Myers (Phillip's wife), Kristin Waycaster, Justin Pleasant, Derek Pleasant, Michael Ricks, James Waycaster Jr. (Lisa),
Great grandchildren are Riley Myers, Dakotah and Kaiden Myers, Alexus, Christopher, and Cameron Stewart and great, great granddaughter Constance. Logan and Lacey Leatherwood and great, great grandson Aiden Waycaster.
There will be a private graveside Celebration of Life later for the family. Rose will be buried with her husband at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia, VA.
