Ithal Anthony (Buddy) Todesco, 71, of Mountain City, TX, beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, and friend, passed away on July 26, 2020. He entered this world on November 20, 1948, in Galveston, TX. He was the 2nd oldest of 5 children born to Leo and Geraldine Todesco.
Buddy went to high school at Texas City High School and graduated in 1967. He went on to earn a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas at Austin in 1971. It was at UT where he met the love of his life and realized how amazing the Longhorns are. His love of computers led him to start his own business, Help Key Inc. Owning his own business helped free up a lot of time to dedicate to his family. Buddy also loved sports, especially baseball. He played, watched, and researched the game and worked to transfer that love to his son Lee, and other children in youth baseball. He got so much joy in watching his son play high school football and then college baseball at UTSA. Being a Longhorn for life he also loved going to football games and seeing his daughter march in the Longhorn Band and in the Longhorn Alumni Band. He was very intelligent, thoughtful, and gained the respect of all those around him. Above all, though, he loved being Poppy to his 2 grandkids whom he loved so much.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Marwick Todesco; his daughter, Lindsey Todesco; son, Lee Todesco, daughter-in-law Michelle; his 2 grandchildren Tristan and Kylie, nieces, nephews, extended family, and many friends.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be no public memorial service. Instead, the family will have an intimate ceremony of his life in his memory.

"During our days as a Hays Rebel family, we developed a circle of close families with whom we collectively raised our children. We\'ve been to games and graduations and band competitions and birthday parties and weddings and celebrations of life together. Buddy and Marwick\'s kids were our kids, and our kids were their kids. For Beth and I, losing Buddy is like losing a member of our family because we shared and celebrated so much life together. We were blessed to see and visit with Buddy, and pray over him, in February on our last trip to Austin metro (our last trip anywhere!), and we thank God for Buddy, for our years of relationship with Todescos, and with his release from the pain caused by his illness. "Buddy was my next door neighbor and good friend when I lived in Mountain City, Texas. We oftentimes played one-on- one basketball games together in my driveway. Those and many other fond memories of Buddy stay with me to this day, some thirty plus years later. Rest In Peace my dear cherished friend.

"My sincere condolences to the family. Buddy was a very nice guy...he was a Stingaree before he was a Longhorn...both built his character. RIP Buddy"

"We remember so well the batting cage where Buddy worked daily with Lee and then not so very long ago he was helping Tristan with his little plastic bat & ball. It made our hearts smile knowing how much Buddy loved the game and watching him continue to share that love. Also watched him bang on the cat food can to feed his cats (another love)! We watched these things from our back yard over the years and dearly appreciate what good neighbors we had. We will miss you Buddy. We find comfort knowing \"all is well\" with your soul.
