"D.J. was a wonderful and brilliant man who had a large impact on my life. His legal mind was sharp, and he was excellent at being able to perceive people?s motivations. He was a great mentor, and his advice on professional and personal matters was incredibly helpful. But what I treasure and remember most is the laughter we shared. He made me smile every day we worked together and made the world a slightly better place. I will miss him, but I?m grateful to have shared his path for a while."

"D.J., Philip and I got to know you during our newcomer?s class, and you were certainly an unforgettable person. I enjoyed getting to serve with you on the Bishop?s Committee, and you and Lisa became family to us along with the rest of our sweet church. Your wisdom, kindness, and friendship will truly be missed, but I know you are watching over us all from up above. Love always, the Williams family. "

"DJ and his sweet wife Lisa where our neighbors for several years, but they where much more than that they where dear friends. I joined a Bible Study at their home that they so kindly opened to anyone and everyone. DJ introduced me to the most amazing deep dish pizza that was ordered and shipped all the way from Chicago. DJ would always have a Topo Chico waiting for me, that was the kind of person he was he noticed the small things and made sure you felt welcome. DJ was a man of God you could see it in his actions, he loved so well everyone. DJ will be missed here on earth but I know in my heart he is with our Lord Jesus and he is fully healed! Our loss is Heavens again! DJ you will never be forgotten till we see you again."

"Though I was never able to meet you in person, I grew to love and admire you through our connection with Lisa and her family. You were a warrior, DJ, and definitely one of my heroes. You fought a great fight and are now in Glory. Rest well."

"Praying for you and your family Lisa. In addition to DJ being a close friend for the past 36 years, maybe even more important he was and is an amazing mentor. I am a better person today as a result of my friendship with and wise counsel from DJ. Praying that you experience the peace that transcends all understanding as DJ\'s impact continues to live through all of us who were blessed to have known him. "
