Rhonda L Cox
June 30, 1958 - October 5, 2015

Rhonda L. Cox, age 57 of Marion, passed away on October 5, 2015 at Marion General Hospital. She was born on June 30, 1958, in Marion to Edger and Sandra (Davis) Burchett, who survive in Swayzee. Rhonda was a 1977 graduate of Oak Hill High School and graduated from ITT Tech in Fort Wayne with a degree in Computer Networking and Business. She was a member of the North A Street Church of Christ in Elwood. Rhonda enjoyed shopping, antiquing, using her computer, and loved cooking. She enjoyed trying new dishes and putting much thought into altering the recipes to her taste, frequently making them spicy. Most of all, Rhonda loved her son Doug and special granddaughter, Chassie. During her final three years, she was inspirational for her courage and will to fight through her sickness.

In addition to her parents, Edger and Sandra, Rhonda is survived by her son, Douglas Dennis, Jr. of Mount Sterling, OH; special granddaughter, Chassie, of Fort Wayne; sisters, Lynda (Gale) Clevenger, of Marion, and Patty (Dan Hawkins) Burchett, of Lebanon; half-brother, Tim Davis; aunts, Kate (CG) Freeman, of Fairmount, Carol (Jim) Carter, of Marion, Linda Phillippe, of Fairmount, Geneva McDole, of Anderson, and Dolores Riggleman, of Lebanon; uncle, Dale (Donna) Burchett, of Monrovia; niece, Amanda Clevenger; nephew, Chad (Jessica) Clevenger; as well as several cousins.

Rhonda was preceded in death by her grandparents, James and Bessie Davis, and Orval and Lucille Burchett; cousin, Randy Freeman.

Arrangements are being entrusted to the College Park Chapel of Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 4601 S. Western Ave., Marion, IN 46953. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 8, from 12:00 2:00 p.m. at the College Park Chapel. A funeral service will be immediately following on Thursday, at 2:00 p.m. at the College Park Chapel, with Minister Ronald Brake officiating. Interment will be at Park Cemetery in Fairmount.

Memorial contributions in Rhondas memory may be made the North A Street Church of Christ in Elwood, in the care of the funeral home.
