Helmut "Al" H Kosel, age 82, of Marion, IN, died Monday, January 6, 2014, at Colonial Oaks Health & Rehab in Marion, IN. He was the son of the late Erich Max Kosel and the late Berta (Gerlach) Kosel, born in Danzig, Germany on November 13, 1931.Al came to the United States in 1955 from Germany and was the last member of his family to immigrate to the United States he became a US Citizen in 1966.In the mean time he was drafted into the US Army from 1956 - 1958. He married Beverly L. (Barton) on August 30, 1969.Al retired in March 1994 from Peerless Machine & Tool where he worked as a machinist for 30 years. Al enjoyed being with his fellow workers, Bob Carson, Harold Landers, Jim Fortney, and Kyle Schoeff for breakfast and he enjoyed riding his motorcycle.He was a handyman, building his own home and he enjoyed camping and attended Westview Wesleyan Church.
He is survived by his wife: Beverly Kosel, Marion

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home and Cremation Services - College Park, 4601 S. Western Ave.Marion, INFuneral service is Saturday January 11, 2014 at 1:00 PM with his grandson Dr. Barton Price officiating.Interment will be at Gardens of Memory, Marion, IN with military rites.
