"Caroline was my best friend thru high school. Over the years, I have moved from Fairmount to Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and back to Ohio. We just lost contact thru the years, but I will never forget our times together. She was set up with a blind date, by her sister and her boyfriend...it turned out to be a young man I had known, who moved from Wisconsin to Indiana, and his grandmother lived next to us on Morton Street. She knew I had a crush on him, and told him he should contact me. He asked my brother if he thought I would go with him, and Gary said, "No, you are to ornery for her". However, he said go ahead and ask her". So, thanks to her I have been married to Allen for over 50 years! She was just a great gal!"
