Richard R. "Ricky" Byrd, age 37, Lovingand devoted father and husbanddied Sunday, February 5, 2012, at Lutheran Home in Fort Wayne, IN.
Ricky worked as a service technician in the Grant County areaheating and cooling business most of his adult life most recently for Mark Ashmore Heating & Cooling.He didn't believe in taking shortcuts andwas highly respected for his work.Ricky enjoyed attending sporting events with his children,playing disc golf with his wife, gardening with his best friend, and teasing and horseplay withhis friends.He was an avid Colts and Tony Stewart fan. He attendedLighthouse Assembly Of God.
He was the son of Richard R.Byrd Sr. surviving in Marionand Patricia (Bill) BurkhartBenedictsurviving in Wabash.He was born in Marion, Indiana on September 9, 1974.He married Carey Goble on July 25, 2003.She survives in Jonesboro

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN Funeral service will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home at 7:00 PM, Friday, February 10, 2012, Rev. Jerry Gallaway officiating. Visitation is Friday from 3-7before the funeral at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the funeral home to assist with arrangments.

He was so excited to see his boys compete and it was so easy to see the Love he had for his family. and he was so willing to help out the entire team with anything he could possibly do. Jordan was the one wrestling at the time and Ricky was so very proud of him. He will be missed by so many but know he is in the most loving arms possible and he will always be with you in your hearts and memories."
