Randy Pernod, age 63, of Fairmount, IN, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011, at his residence. . Mr. Pernod was employed by Delco Remy, Anderson, as a Toolmaker/Supervisor for 33 years, retiring in 1997. He attended First Church of the Nazarene of Alexandria, and was a member of Fairmount American Legion, Masonic Lodge of Fairmount., and the UAW.
He owned and operated Pernod Locksmith and Engraving for 30 years . He was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and enjoyed antiques, woodworking and loved his daschunds.
He was the son of the late Robert E. Pernod Sr. and the late Mildred E. (Little) Pernod. He was born in Anderson, IN on August 23, 1948. He graduated from Fairmount High School in 1966 and attended Ball State University, and received his toolmaking apprentaship from General Motors. He served in the Army during the Vietnam war earning 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star. He married Kim Miller on February 1, 1986. She survives in Fairmount, IN

Arrangements are being handled by Armes-Hunt Funeral Home, 415 S. Main St., Fairmount, IN Funeral service will be at Armes-Hunt Funeral Home at 11 AM, Saturday with Rev. Mark Diemer officiating. Friends may visit the funeral home on Friday from 5-8PM with a legion walk thru at service at 6:30. A Private burial will be at a later date.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the Marion-Grant County Humane Society or the Wreaths Across America for the Marion VA Cemetery in care of the funeral home.
