Vera R. Miller, 74, passed away at her home at 8:20 a.m. Saturday with her family by her side. She was born in Bell County, Kentucky the daughter of the late William H. Rose and Evelyn (Keys) Rose Bryan. Vera was a graduate of Bell County High School. She married Dallas D. Miller August 8, 1953. He preceded her in death June 6, 1998. She had been employed with The Pierce Company Upland for over 30 years. She enjoyed playing Scrabble, going to garage sales, visiting the casinos, and spending time with family. She was a member of the Upland Order of the Eastern Star #411, GM Sympathy Club, and Gas City Moose Lodge #1778. Survivors include children: Dallas (Kim), Huntington, Dan, Upland, Dewey, Houston, TX, Martha (Mike) Thompson, Upland, Susan (Steve) Christman, Bluffton, Cynthia (Joseph) Bell, LaPorte City, IA; a brother, William "Perry" (Nancy) Rose, Jalapa; 23 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Judy Cook, a sister, Phyllis Rose, and infant brother, Roy.
