Upland: Charles "Bill" W. Seavers, 67, died Monday at 3:15 p.m. at Lutheran Hospital, Ft. Wayne. He was born in Upland the son of Helen M. (Martz) Seavers, who survives in Marion, and the late Grant G. Seavers. He was a 1960 graduate of Jefferson Township High School. He had most recently been employed with Allen Security working in Muncie prior to his retirement. Mr. Seavers served in the Indiana National Guard for 6 years. He enjoyed music, car shows, and car collectibles. He was an avid Pacer and NASCAR fan. Survivors in addition to his mother include a son, Andrew, Portland; two granddaughters; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Clark, Kent Seavers, Kevin Seavers, Julie Seavers, and Holly Retz. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association. "I'm very sorry for your loss. I was a classmate of Bill's and sat next to him in study hall. He wrote in my yearbook: "What would I have done without you (probably made better grades)". Needless to say, we didn't study all of the time in that study hall. He will be missed. Bill Wiley"
