Upland: James A. Stinefield, 71, passed away at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday at University Nursing Center. He was born in Alexandria, the son of the late Otto and Frances (Redding) Stinefield. Mr. Stinefield served in the Army National Guard from 1955-1963. He retired from Atlas Foundry in Marion in 1985 after 25 years. He enjoyed watching football and basketball. Survivors include: special friend, Mary Collins, Marion; a daughter, Jamie (Rich) Shortsleeve, Upland; sons, Rocky, Huntington, Larry, Warren, Rodney, Marion; a sister, Donna Jean (Joseph) Davis, Anderson; brothers, Dale, Bob both of Alexandria, Phillip, Kokomo; seven grandchildren; and two great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Daniel Roahling and two brothers, William and David Stinefield.
