Anna L. Thurman
December 3, 1923 - August 5, 2009

Hartford City: Anna L. Thurman, went home to be with her Lord at 8:40 a.m. Wednesday at Miller's Merry Manor. She was born in Monroe Township, Grant County the daughter of the late Ardel V. and Marie (Grindle) Puckett. She was a 1942 graduate of Jefferson Township High School and also attended Indiana Business College, Marion. She married Loren Thurman in Grant County April 21, 1946. Mrs. Thurman enjoyed being a homemaker. She was a member of Oak Chapel United Methodist Church, Hartford City Camp Auxiliary of Gideons International, and the College Corner Home Extension Club, Blackford County. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Loren; daughter, Judy (George) Wilson, Port Charlotte, FL; two sons, Richard L. (Barbara) and Ed (Rhonda) Thurman, all of Hartford City; a brother, Herb (Ruth Lee) Puckett, Upland; sisters, Donna Stanley, Sierra Vista, AZ, Shirley Puckett, Marion; 11 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
