Jacqueline "Joan" Hanley, 89, passed away at 10:48 a.m. Friday at Heritage Pointe, Warren. She was born in Wabash County the daughter of the late Joseph and Gladys (McCowen) Jack. She attended Upland High School and married Herbert Hanley on March 12, 1936 in Hartford City. Together they resided in the old Walker School House for over 62 years, where Herbert had attended elementary school. He preceded her in death March 26, 1991. Mrs. Hanley enjoyed homemaking and cooking for family and friends. She had been a Jefferson Township resident since 1929 until moving to Warren in 2005. She attended Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church for many years where she enjoyed sending cards of encouragement to church family. Survivors include a son, Jack (Peggy) Hanley, Upland; three daughters, Marilyn Evans, Summitville, Patricia (James) Sells, Upland, Sheree Robinson, Oswego, IL; two sisters-in-law, Caroline Hanley, and Elizabeth Jack; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Jack; two sons-in-law, Bob Evans, and Tom Robinson. Memorials may be made to Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church, 300 S.
