Judith Elaine Dyer of Raynham, Massachusetts passed away peacefully at Good Samaritan Medical Center on July 15, 2020. She was the beloved wife of Charles Walter Dyer of 56 years. Judy was the third child born to Francis Morrison and Josephine (Hasset) Morrison on August 13, 1945 in Utica, New York.
Judy graduated from Bishop Cassidy High School in Taunton, Massachusetts in 1963. Following High School, Judy worked for Taunton Savings Bank. Eventually, becoming the Secretary to the President of the bank until the birth of her late son Jeffery Dyer. Judy faithfully supported her growing family until 1980 when she and Charlie formed Dyer Oil Company in Raynham, Massachusetts where the couple had built a home. Judy maintained the position of Vice President of Dyer Oil Company until her retirement. Judy will be remembered by all who were privileged to become acquainted with her as a sweet, sincere, peaceful and loving person. She built a business and home which will be remembered as a warm and inviting place that all felt welcome. Judys devotion to her family, and friends were paramount to her. Judy was a devout Catholic and took great pride in her Irish heritage.
During retirement, Judy could always be found by the side of her best friend Charlie enjoying a Baseball game or socializing with one of the many friends or family members she loved so dearly.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons Shawn and Jason Dyer of Raynham, Massachusetts. Her four Grandchildren: Mia Dyer of Blowing Rock, North Carolina, Caiden Dyer of Raynham, Massachusetts, Chloe Dyer of Raynham, Massachusetts and Sydney Dyer of Blowing Rock, North Carolina. She is also survived by her two brothers and one sister: Donald Butch Morrison of Raynham, Massachusetts, James Morrison of Taunton, Massachusetts, and Patricia Balser of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, Taunton, Massachusetts 02780 on Thursday July 23, 2020. Due in part to the current health and safety regulations in Massachusetts, this service will be private to the family. The Dyer Family recognizes that Judy was beloved by many and regrets that more friends of Judy are unable to attend.
