Mrs. Ormezinda (Lawrence) Levesque, of Taunton died unexpectedly Tuesday, April 26 in St. Elizabeths Hospital, Brighton. She was the wife of the late Roger J. Levesque. She was born 79 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Antonio and Mary (Medeiros) Lourenco-Lawrence. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a cake decorator for Shaws Supermarkets in Raynham and Easton for 20 years. She had previously been employed at both the former Mammoth Mart and Kings Department Stores in Raynham. She was a member of several senior citizens clubs in the area. She enjoyed traveling, playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles, reading and spending time with her family. Mrs. Levesque was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton. She leaves: Diane M. Collins and her husband, Alan of East Wareham, and their children Cindy, Sara and Melissa; James A. and his wife, Lynn of Taunton and their children, Jason, Jennifer and Jared; Paul R. and his wife, Carla of New Hampshire; Donald J. and his wife, Bridget of Taunton and their children Aimee, Matthew and Joshua; Norma J. Marshall and her son, Benjamin of Little Compton, R.I.; Betty A. Gordon and her husband, Steven of East Taunton and their children Michaela, Tricia and Stevie Anne; Jean M. Connon and her husband, Jeff of Taunton and their children Jeffrey, Kimberly, Jonathan, Lauren and Peter; Marc E. and his wife, Debra of Taunton;one sister: Deolinda Sloan of Taunton; 5 great grandchildren, Ethan, Cassady, Sean, Adrienne and Sienna, and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Levesque was also the mother of the late Nancy Jean, the grandmother of the late Donald Joseph Levesque, Jr., and the sister of the late Herbert Lawrence and the late Natalie White. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street, on Monday, May 2 at 10:00 A.M. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
