Mrs. Phyllis T. (Porciello) Morin, of Taunton, died peacefully Thursday, January 7 in Morton Hospital,surrounded by her loving family, following a lengthy illness. She was the wife of Joseph G. Gerry Morin. She was born 74 years ago in Boston, the daughter of the late Andrew and Fannie (Tomolilo) Porciello. She was educated in Everett and Brockton and had been a Taunton resident for the past 56 years. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a machine operator for Texas Instruments in Attleboro for 16 years. Mrs. Morin was a former member of the Taunton Lodge of Elks Emblem Club. She was a communicant of St. Jude the Apostle Church in Taunton. In addition to her husband, she leaves: 2 sons: Edward Morin and his wife, Kathy of Centerville Robert A. Morin and his wife Jodie of Taunton 2 daughters: Anne Marie Coffin of Fall River Joanne Oliveira and her husband Jeffrey of Somerset 7 grandchildren: Shannon Phillips, Alan Marshall, Kara Kelly, Kristina Coffin, Casey Walsh, Joseph Coffin and Alyssa Oliveira 2 great grandchildren: Samantha Lynds and Logan Kelly several nieces and nephews Mrs. Morin was also the mother of the late Patricia Morin of Taunton, and the sister of the late Arthur Porciello, Rita Tuzzolo and Jennie Sullivan. Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Tuesday, January 12 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment will be private.
