Mr. Jean R. John Levasseur, of Taunton and formerly of Raynham, died Tuesday, June 9 in the Caritas-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Brockton, following a period of failing health. He was the husband of Ann C. (Phillips) Levasseur for 54 years. He was born 77 years ago in New Bedford, the son of the late Pierre J. and Eglantin B. (Jarry) Levasseur. In their retirement, the Levasseurs moved to an apartment in a daughters home in Taunton. The Levasseurs were member of St. Anns Church in Raynham for over 40 years. Upon moving to Taunton, they registered at the Holy Rosary Church, where Jean once worked. They were daily communicants, and often attended Masses at the former St. Jacques Church and St. Anthonys Church. Occasionally, they attended Masses at St. Marys Church or the noon Mass at the Father Peyton Center in Easton. He enjoyed outings with the family, and loved fishing. He also loved going on dates with his wife and shared her love for Gods Creations in the birds and animals. He was an avid Dunkin Donuts coffee lover, and looked forward to weekly cribbage and card games with his family, as well as playing games on the computer.
