Mrs. Mary L. (Barros) Goulart, of this city died Thursday, November 20 at her resi- dence surrounded by her family following a courageous battle with cancer. She was the wife of Antonio P. Goulart. She was born 67 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late William and Geneva (Silveira) Brodie. She was educated in Taunton and had been a lifelong city resident. Prior to her illness, she had been employed as a Certified Nurses Aide at Marion Manor for 5 years. She had previously been em- ployed at Longmeadow of Taunton and at the Paul A. Dever State School for a num- ber of years. Mrs. Goulart also taught english to portuguese speaking students at the Martin Middle School in East Taunton. She enjoyed playing piano, crosstitching, baking and spending time with her family. She was a communicant of Annunciation of the Lord Church. In addition to her husband, she leaves: 1 son: George Dufresne Jr. and his wife, Jennifer of Assonet 2 daughters: Anne Rounds, and her husband, Robert of Taunton Laura Reynolds of Taunton 2 stepdaughters: Rosemary Loura, and her husband Daniel of West Bridgewater Marjorie Goulart of Taunton 2 grandchildren: Taryn Reynolds and George Dufresne III 2 stepgrandchildren: Cynthia Goulart and Danny Loura Mrs. Goulart was also the mother of the late Michael Dufresne of Taunton. Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Monday, November 24 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in the Annunciation of the Lord Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in St. Joseph Ceme- tery. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
