A Sweet, Loving, and Kind-Hearted Woman Ms. Rosa Lee Long Hawkins departed this life on December 30th, 2014 at home. She was born on July 31st, 1927 to the late Minnie and Brady Young Sr. She worked for Hoots Hospital and raised eight children. She retired from Hoots after 23 years of service. She was a dedicated and devoted member of Tabernacle United Church of Christ here in Yadkinville where she was the Church Mother. She faithfully attended Sunday school and served in various organizations in the church including the Gospel choir. She leaves to mourn two daughters; Cynthia Cowan and Tina Long of Yadkinville, NC; three sons, Larry (Vanessa) Long of Yadkinville, NC, Dennis (Vera) Long and Danny (Sheila) Long of Troutman, NC; three stepdaughters, Jurel Gwyn and Shirlene (Fred) Transou of Lewisville NC and Ester (Rev Issac ) Peay of Winston-Salem, NC; one sister, Connie Campbell; 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and Friends.
