Robert Kauffman, 65, of Glenwood, IA passed away on Monday, July 20, 2020 at the Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, IA. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood. Loess Hills Funeral Home in Glenwood is caring for Robert and his family.

Robert James Kauffman son of Merrill Lyman and Elsie Marie (Rown) Kauffman Sr. was born on April 4, 1955 in Lewistown, PA.
Bob grew up in Lewistown, PA and moved to Council Bluffs, IA in 1995. On November 20, 1998 he married Ilene Smith in Council Bluffs. The couple moved to Glenwood in 2014. Bob worked maintenance for Wal-Mart in Council Bluffs retiring 2010 due to his health.
Bob loved NASCAR especially Dale Earnhardt and motorcycles.
Bob is preceded in death by his parents, twin sisters in infancy, infant brother, Chester Leroy Kauffman, brothers, George and Larry Kauffman.
Bob is survived by his wife, Ilene of Glenwood; sister, Betty E. Miller of New Bloomfield, PA; brother, Sonny Kauffman of New Bloomfield, PA; nephews, Robert Hiler and David Kauffman; niece, Whitney Hockenberry; step sons, Travis Wake and his wife Chasidy of Shenandoah, Justin Wake and his wife Jennifer of Hamburg; other relatives and a host of many friends.
