Pheuy Baccam
May 24, 1960 - November 6, 2008

Pheuy Baccam, 48, of Mt. Pleasant, IA, died Thursday, November 06, 2008, at her home. Visitation will be held on Monday, November, 10, 2008, beginning at 12:00 noon, at the Olson - Powell Memorial Chapel where the family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with Pastor Regan Stoops officiating. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Forest Home Cemetery. Memorials have been established to the American Cancer Society. Pheuy was born May 24, 1960, in Vientiane, Laos, the daughter of Theuang and Seuang Kavanh. Pheuy moved to the United States in 1979 and lived in Keosauqua, IA. She graduated from Van Buren High School. On June 11, 1982, Pheuy married Keith Baccam in Keosauqua. The couple later moved to Mt. Pleasant where they have resided ever since. Pheuy was a homemaker and was employed for fifteen years at Motorola/Celestica as a production technician. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and attended the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant. Pheuy enjoyed gardening and cooking. She especially loved spending time with her family. Along with her husband, Keith, survivors include her parents of Mt. Pleasant, one son, Jeffrey Baccam, and two daughters Loraine and Emily Baccam all of Mt. Pleasant. Also surviving are seven sisters, Phuong (Tim) Moungsouvanh of Quebec, Canada, Phong (Phong) Lo, Somboua (Oun) Lovan, Huc (Oune) Be, Khamphou (Heriberto) Medina, Chom Kavanh, Nhoth (Dave) Myers, and one brother, Bounloth Kavanh all of Iowa. Pheuy was preceded in death by her grandparents and a brother, Tho Kavanh.
