"Jennifer and boys: Words cannot express the sorrow I feel for you. Keith was a not only a great person but a great friend. Once you cut through the sarcasm, you discovered a big, teddy bear. However, I didn't mind the sarcasm because I always gave him as much as he gave me. He was a great employee and he will be deeply missed. Brooks Taylor"

"Jennifer and the boys, First of all I am so sorry to here about Keith's sudden death. I really understand what you are going through at this time. My first wife died suddenly in 2000 at the age 43. I was 36 at the time. My son, Mason had just turned 3 and my daughter was 6. I feel for you and your boys. I really enjoyed coaching your son in football last fall. You were both great supportive parents. They are lucky to have you. I did not get to know you well enough then but I could sense you had an inner strength. The days ahead will seem overwhelming at times and they will be but remember that although the sun sets today it will rise again tomorrow. Those boy's need to know you are strong but you also hurt too. He will always be a part of you and of your children. I am very proud that your son can look back over the time with his father and he can remember that touchdown he made that cold fall morning. He had the biggest grin on his face. I know you both were very proud of him and what he had accomplished. It was one of those special moments or gifts that I get every once in a while from coaching those kids. If you ever need advice or anything give me a call and I will see if I can help in anyway. I will be coaching soccer soon and I would love to have your son on my team. You take care and truly may God bless you and your children and watch over you in these coming days. Greg Lorber"

"Jennifer - Needless to say, I was stunned upon hearing the news about Keith. I worked with him for a few years at the Washington Journal and as much as he enjoyed giving me grief about the Hawkeyes, and how great Notre Dame and Iowa State were, I enjoyed giving it right back at him. It was all in good fun and we both knew it. Although I hadn't emailed him much lately, I enjoyed that bganter. Arnie Smith"
