Robert L. "Bob" Kennedy Jr., 55, of Baldwin, Iowa, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, July 11, 2020 at his home.
A celebration of his life will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, September 19, 2020 at his home. At Peace Cremation Services have been provided by Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa.
Robert Lee Kennedy Jr. was born on July 24, 1964 in Davenport, Iowa, to Robert Lee and Judith Rae (Stoner) Kennedy Sr. He was a 1982 graduate of Calamus High School and had attended Clinton Community College. He married Angela Jean Burkey on March 21, 1985 in Maquoketa, Iowa.
"Bob" was owner and operator for many years of Digital Concept in Maquoketa working as a software programmer and engineer. He then worked at Family Dollar in Maquoketa for 15 years
"Bob" loved working with and collecting model trains. Additionally, he was an avid gun collector.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Angela Kennedy of Baldwin, IA; children, Staff Sergeant Robert Lee (Staff Sergeant Jordan) Kennedy III of Oahu, HI, Zachary John Kennedy of Maquoketa, IA, and Austin James Kennedy of Iowa City, IA; his mother, Judith Kennedy of Baldwin, IA; a sister Judie (Tom) Moore of Maquoketa, IA; and 2 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents, and his father.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Robert L. "Bob" Kennedy memorial fund has been established.
