Bristol, RI - Barbara Ann Tempesta Dermody, 83, of St. Elizabeth Manor, Bristol, RI, formerly of Aquidneck Avenue, Portsmouth, died Monday, August 18, 2008 at St. Elizabeths Manor, Bristol, RI. She was the wife of the late Joseph Peter Dermody. Born in Norwich, CT on March 13, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Loretta Colletti Tempesta. Mrs. Dermody was an avid knitter and gardener. She loved fishing and the beach. Both she and her husband enjoyed many trips in their RV. She is survived by her daughters Joan Dermody and her partner Paulette A. Gagnon of Fall River, MA and Barbara DiMarco and her husband William J. DiMarco of Middletown, RI, her brother Francis H Tempesta of New York City, New York, her grandchildren John DiMarco and Jennifer Bailey of Middletown, RI, Norman P. Bailey, Jr. of Warwick, RI, Bill DiMarco of North Kingstown, RI and Dana DiMarco of Warwick, RI and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Bailey, Kelsey Bailey and Avia DiMarco all of Warwick, RI. She was the sister of the late Eldred Tempesta.
