"Dear Evelyn & Family, Certain influential figures stay with us our entire lives; Pastor Lutz is such a person. He set a fine example for so many of us who grew up participating in his Sunday School & Confirmation classes, VBS, Youth programs and church services. We couldn?t have asked for a better Shepherd to lead the way in our Christian upbringing. Although we grieve over Earthly parting when loved ones pass, let us rejoice in knowing Pastor Lutz joins our Heavenly Father & the host of welcoming Angels! "Dear Mrs Lutz and family, I am sorry for your loss. I am also thankful for his life and the work he did. As i share the good news of the gospels with others today I am thankful for the foundation the Holy Spirit provided through the staff at St Johns as a child. Pastor Lutz was a very strong, truthful and approachable pastor. I am sure he will be missed here. He is with our heavenly father. I imagine the celebration in heaven with all other great believers from St John was awesome. Mrs Lutz, thank you too for all the times you were helping out as VBS leader, Christmas pageant leader, walther league help, etc.. You were always there too. Thank you. Gary Buser"

"Becky and I are sorry to hear of Pastor Lutz passing. I have many fond memories of him, from being confirmed at St. John's to when he took care of the funerals of my parents many years ago. Even though we've been gone from the area for 25 years, when I think of St. John's I can't help but think of Pastor Lutz. Jeff and Becky Hergert"

"So sorry to hear of Pastor Lutz passing. My Dad and Mom (Ed and Anita Uhlmann) so loved his sermons when he was in charge at St. John?s , Homestead. Even though I was no longer an active member of St. John?s, I always felt such a warm welcome from him when I would return for an occasional Sunday service. Pastor Lutz had a wonderful way about him. Truly a caring and compassionate Pastor. He will be missed. Doug and Linda (Uhlmann) Watts"
