Cody Lee Johnson, age 26, currently of Savannah, GA and formerly of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday morning, April 18, 2018 in Savannah.
He was born May 1, 1991 in Morgantown, a son of Dick and Kathie Johnson of Morgantown.
In addition to his parents, survivors include his wife Jamie Lynn Fortwengler Johnson; his son, Tanner Matthew Johnson; two sisters, Stephanie Johnson Lemley and her husband John of Morgantown, and Samantha Johnson of Savannah, GA; his niece and nephew, Katie and Ryan Lemley of Morgantown; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Howard and Jennifer Wesley of Brave, PA.
He was preceded in death by a niece, Kassidy Lea Johnson.
Cody attended Morgantown High School, where he played hockey, and later attended West Virginia University. He was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. Cody was employed as an Operations Manager with Snider Fleet Solutions in Pooler, GA. He also enjoyed shark fishing.
Friends may join the family to honor Codys life and legacy at Smith Funeral Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown on Monday, April 23rd from 4:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM with Pastor Randall Flanagan officiating.Following the service, the familys request for cremation will be honored.
