Thomas Buckman Straka, 39, formerly of Carmel, IN, passed away December 17, 2017 in Morgantown, WV.

He is survived by his parents - father Jay Straka of Florida, and mother Sandy Straka Wilkins of Jackson, MI; brothers Joseph (Molly) Carmel, IN, William of Indianapolis, IN and Robert of Carmel, IN; and his daughter Virginia of Kingwood, WV.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017 at the First Baptist Church in Carmel, IN with Pastor Joseph Flatt officiating.

Professional services are under the direction ofSMITH FUNERAL CREMATION CARE, 108 HOLLAND AVE., MORGANTOWN, WV.

"I am so heart broken about Tommy. I just heard. Tommy has such a special place in my heart. I think of him and Clay's antics as youngsters. There was never a dull moment with those two, but also so good laughs. There were like brothers and I loved them both. I am so glad to have had Tommy in my life, to have known him as a boy, young man and a father. The last time I talked with him he was doing so well and I was so happy for him.
