Josephine Rossetti Tarantini, age 86 of Morgantown, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017 at Ruby Memorial Hospital following a brief illness. Born June 15, 1930 in Masontown, WV, she is a daughter of the late Nicola and Maria (Di Claudio) Rossetti. Josephine is survived by four children, Carol Marra and her husband Joe of Newark, DE, Maria Schlobohm and her husband Gary of Morgantown, Sandra Durham and Robert "Bobby" May of Martinsburg, WV, and Tony Tarantini and his wife Diane of Morgantown; her son-in-law, Randy Mullens; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three sisters; Elizabeth Lucci of Morgantown, Sundina Miller of Ft. Myers, FL and Teresa Nacarate and her husband Joe of Morgantown; and well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Antonio "Tony" Tarantini, on February 10, 2004; and her daughter, Diana Mullens. Together with her late husband, Josephine was the owner and operator of Ralph's Beer Distributor, Inc., a business which has been in the family for more than 50 years. She was a member of St. John University Parish and enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking, and working jigsaw puzzles. Josephine was a cherished mother, grandmother, and sister who dearly loved her family and will be sorely missed A private viewing and entombment service has taken place for the immediate family. Josephine was laid to rest with her husband with Catholic Burial Rites accorded by Father Walter Jagela, pastor of St. John University Parish, at St. Mary Peace Garden Mausoleum in Star City.
