Kassidy Lea Johnson, age 7, of Star City, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 21, 2016 due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident near Bedford, PA.Kassidy was born March 9, 2009 in Morgantown, WV, and is the daughter of Samantha Johnson of Star City.In addition to her mother, she is survived by her grandparents, Dick and Kathie Johnson of Morgantown; her aunts and uncles including John and Stephanie Lemley of Morgantown, and Cody and Jamie Johnson of Bluffton, SC; and three cousins, Katie and Ryan Lemley of Morgantown, and Tanner Johnson of Bluffton, SC.Kassidy just began her second grade year at Suncrest Elementary School where she had many adoring friends and teachers. She was a talented cheerleader and dancer who performed with Fire and Ice and also Kat and Company. She was a creative young lady who also enjoyed working on crafts and writing. Kass was always smiling. Her infectious smile and bright, cheerful laughter could light up any room that she walked into. She persevered in everything she did, always kept a positive attitude and was a wonderful influence to her peers.Friends, classmates and the community may join the family to honor Kassidy's life and legacy at Wesley United Methodist Church, 503 N. High St., Morgantown on Saturday, August 27th from 11:30 AM until the time of the memorial service at 1:00 PM with Rev. Michael Q. Atkinson officiating.Flowers are welcomed at the church.
