Sheila Lynn Somers Lopez, age 42, of Romney, WV and formerly of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, May 12, 2016 at Hampshire Memorial Hospital in Romney, WV. She was born September 3, 1973 in Baltimore, MD a daughter of Reginald 'Reggie" Somers of Morgantown and the late Carrie (Phillips) Somers, who preceded her in death in 2013.In addition to her father, she is survived by four children, Nicole "Niki" and Cheryl Somers of Grafton, and Raymond and Russell Somers of Baltimore, MD; her sister, Theresa Somers of Morgantown, and her brother, Reginald 'Reggie" Somers, Jr. of Augusta, WV. She was a fabulous grandmother to her three beautiful grandchildren, Cheyenne, Hunter, and Jr., and looked forward to meeting her future grandson, Wyatt. Additionally, she is survived by the love of her life, James "Jamie" Hiser, who was her best friend, card playing buddy and caregiver until her passing; and her three step-sons, Bradley, Christopher and Austin all of Romney.Sheila will be missed greatly by her aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her uncles Walter "Phil" Phillips in 2014, and Ronald "Ronnie" Phillips in 2015.Sheila was a kind-hearted soul who loved to laugh, enjoy life and spend time with her family. Her personality sparkled and her laughter and light-hearted attitude was quite contagious.Friends may join Sheila's family in honoring her life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown, on Tuesday, May 17th from 6:00 - 7:30 PM.
