Jesse James Loya, age 36, of Morgantown, passed away tragically in his home early Thursday morning, March 31, 2016. He was born October 22, 1979 in Morgantown, a son of Tammi Blake and her fiance' Jim Simons of Monumental (Barrackville), WV, and the late Michael Loya. In addition to his mother, survivors include his fiancAC., Amanda Lane; two brothers, Wyatt and Elijah Simons; his grandmother, Sue Keener; a special cousin, Chance Blake; uncles Robert Blake (Shiela) and Martin Blake (Cheryl) and their families; as well as numerous other relatives and friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his uncle, Mark Blake, and his grandfather, Robert Blake. Jesse was dearly loved by everyone who knew him, and will be severely missed by all. Friends may join the family to honor Jesse's life and legacy at Smith Funeral & Cremation Care, 108 Holland Ave., Morgantown on Tuesday, April 5th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM and again on Wednesday, April 6th from 6:00 PM until the time of the funeral service at 7:00 PM. Following the funeral service and in accordance with Jesse's wishes, he will be cremated. We had a good catch up a while back & I was just stunned today when Trina called & asked if I had heard about what happened in Mgtn yesterday. I honestly thought she was playing a cruel April Fool's Day prank on me. I haven't stopped crying since I realized she was serious. Oh, I am SO SO sorry. I cannot believe he is gone. It seems like only yesterday he was crashed on the couch with the pup at his side telling me what a great time he had at such n such & now so many of them are gone. It's heartbreaking."
