Robert Eugene Hamburg

Robert Eugene Hamburg passed away at home in Kyle, Texas on June 27, 2020 at the age of 82. Robert was born December 21, 1937 in Sulphur, Louisiana to Charles Frederick and Minnie B. Nelson Hamburg.
With a lifelong yearning for education, Robert earned a PhD in Physics and was an Assistant Professor at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. Upon retirement in 2000 Robert and his wife Dora, moved to Austin to be close to family. Robert loved traveling, reading and woodworking. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dora Ann Stolhand Hamburg, his two children, Ann Monique Hamburg Miller (Mike) and Gregory Lynn Hamburg. Robert is also survived by his sister Francis Hamburg Box, 2 grandchildren and lots of nieces and nephews.
