Dennis Richard Duellman, 68, of St. Charles, died Wednesday, June 24, 2020 at Whitewater Health Services. Dennis was born January 7, 1952 in Winona to Adolph and Florence (Struck) Duellman. He grew up in St. Charles with his four siblings, Ron, Michael, Cheryl, and Debbie. Dennis never met a stranger and he was collectively loved by everyone. As a young man, Dennis started working at Carl Fishers gladiolus garden and then Jim's Red Owl as a stock boy. Dennis was a hard worker and worked at Jim's for many years. He later took a job at North Star Foods until they closed their doors after the fire. In his later years, he spent time helping Bill and Jan in the mornings around Good Sports bar. He was a long time member at the Moose Lodge. Dennis played fastpitch softball in St. Charles and enjoyed bowling at the Legion for many years. He also loved to go to the stock car races on weekends and visit his favorite machine at Treasure Island. Dennis' family would like to thank everyone in the community for helping look out for Dennis for all these years.
Dennis is survived by his siblings, Ron, Michael (Joy), Cheryl Heydt, Debbie (Dwight) Phillips and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Dixie Duellman.
A public graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 1 at Calvary Cemetery in St. Charles. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials be sent to the Hometown Resource Center, 1244 Whitewater Ave, St. Charles, MN 55972. Please leave a memory of Dennis at hofffuneral.com
