Elizabeth Ann Caron, 45, of Gwinn, died Sunday afternoon, June 21, 2020 at UP Health System-Marquette following her years-long battle with cancer.
She was born March 11, 1975 in Manistique, Michigan, a daughter of Glenn E. and Eva J. (Carlson) Caron. She was a 1994 graduate of Gwinn High School and earned an Associate's degree in cosmetology from NMU.
Elizabeth was employed for several years as a cosmetologist at the Smart Style Salon. She was a member of the Upper Room Church and served as a Sunday school teacher.
Her interests included crochet, campfires, cooking, baking and rock picking.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Scott Caron of Gwinn; parents, Glenn and Eva Caron of Gwinn; siblings, Glenn (Pamela) Caron, Jr of Gwinn, Melissa (Steaven) Pascoe of Kingsley, MI, Daniel (Alice Pepin) Caron of DePere, WI, Andrew Caron of Coldwater, MI and Rachael (Russel Disch) Caron of Milwaukee, WI; former spouse, Scott Britton of Marquette; honorary mother, Corrine Britton of Marquette; aunts. uncles and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Alanis.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at 1 pm at Canale-Gwinn Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Pastor David Chaffin officiating. Visitation will be held from 12 Noon until the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will take place in Sands Township Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 precautions, face masks are recommended.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
