A private family Memorial Service will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakota with Pastor Chad Duffy presiding.
Winnette "Winnie" Christine Levy was born July 26, 1958, in Buffalo Center, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Charlotte (Bowman) Baumann. She grew up and attended school in Lakota graduating from the Lakota High School. Winnie went on to attend Waldorf College in Forest City and obtained an Associates Degree in Human Services.
On December 22, 1984, Winnie was united in marriage to Danny Levy at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Lakota. After their marriage they lived in Louisiana before moving to Des Moines, where she worked for ChildServe. They later moved to Burt where they have lived ever since and Winnie worked at Exceptional Opportunities. Winnie enjoyed her time working at Exceptional Opportunities, reading and in later years watching television.
Winnie died Saturday, June 20, 2020, at the Humboldt South Care Center in Humboldt, Iowa. She was 62.
She is survived by her husband, Dan Levy of Burt; brother and sister-in-law, John and Laura Baumann of Leland, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Charlotte Baumann.
