Terry "TL" Savage
June 9, 1972 - August 26, 2017

Terry Lamont Savage (TL) was the youngest of two sons born to the late Effie Jewel Savage and Ermon Savage on June 9, 1972 in San Diego, California. He attended Johnson Elementary School and graduated from Gompers Secondary School. In high school, TL excelled. He was a member of the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program; San Diego Chapter Links Achiever, ASB Vice President and sat on the board of the Close Up Foundation. He appeared in Whos Who Among American High School Students and was a student advocate for the City of San Diego Drug and Alcohol Prevention Task Force and speaker for the Drug Awareness Resistance Education Program (DARE).

TL was a very energetic, smart and determined child who set goals for his life at a young age. His desire was to attend Howard University. His mom said, No Howard University because of the financial strain. However, with good grades, determination and prayers, he was able to attend Howard. TL majored in Radio/TV/Film and minored in Theatre Arts.

TL was an American Film, Television and Stage actor. He became a disc jockey on 92.5 XHRM-FM during high school as part of the SOS JAMS crew (Student On Saturday Junior American Music Show). Shortly after graduating from college and gaining experience in the corporate world, Hollywood soon followed and he turned his sights to being in front of the camera. His career began with the hit television series ER with several other shows and commercials to date including a starring role in the movie Deceitful. TL was a member of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG). In 2012, he was listed at number five among the Top 20 actors to watch on The Internet Movie Database (IMDb). He has been lauded for his artistic ability as an actor. TL, affable and generous in nature, was dedicated to his philanthropic work with children worldwide and was committed to giving back to this community.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents Effie Jewel Savage and Ernie Savage. He is survived by his brother De-Sean Savage, sister-in-law Sarah Ellis Savage, nieces and nephews Devin Padilla, Olivia Savage, Sebastian Savage and Julia Savage; aunt Gloria Tucker, uncles Horace Tucker Jr. and Hermon Savage; cousins Sheila Tucker Burnett, Horace Tucker III, Diane Howard, Marshelle Tucker Taylor, Michael Yancy. Marcelis Tucker, Kevin Savage, Karyn Conyers, Vernon Savage and Barbara Savage and a host of other relatives and friends including his Howard University family.
