"I grew up with this BEAUTIFUL woman as a preachers kid @ New Creation Church .I always looked up to her & the the older girls. I'm saddened to hear of her loss.May God bless all left to mourn her BEAUTIFUL soul!! Rest well in heaven"
Deana Marie Cook was born on August 29, 1971 in San Diego, CA to the very proud parents of Ronald and Camellia Cook. Deana was New Creation Churchs very first baby. When New Creation Church began in 1972 Deana was their youngest child, at just eight months old. Her grandparents, Anthony and Maggie Jennings were founders and she remained very active throughout her childhood and teenage years.
She graduated from Monte Vista High School in 1989 and went on to college in 1997 and earned a Masters Degree from California State University, San Bernardino, CA in 2010.
Deana was blessed with a contract teaching position from the Lake Elsinore Unified School District where she taught at Machado Elementary School followed by her assignment at Lakeland Village School, for almost twenty years. She was a very devoted teacher and was often approached by former students from years earlier with thanks and appreciation, which truly thrilled her.
Deanas crown jewel was her precious daughter Kayla Marie. She was her pride and joy and were sure shes smiling down on her right now.
Deana departed this life and went to be with her Heavenly Father on Saturday April 1, 2017 at 6:00 a.m.
Deana was preceded in death by her father Ronald in 2008.
Deana is survived by her daughter Kayla Marie Cook-Steagall, her mother Camellia, her aunts and uncles Paula Dillard, Darlene (Mark) Kasmer, Darrell Jennings and Antoinette Lea (Austin) Wilder and a host of cousins and lifelong friends.
She will be very deeply missed by all and remain forever in our hearts. God Bless.
