Darrell Lawrence Gayton
July 30, 1964 - November 16, 2016



Darrell Lawrence Gayton was born July 30, 1964 in San Diego, Ca to the union of a Pastor Charles E. Gayton Sr. and Marietha (Precious) Gayton.

Darrell was baptized at an early by his father Pastor Charles E. Gayton. Under his fathers leadership he was an active member of the Community Baptist Church. He was a member of the Rosebuds Choir, Sunny school, and all the other activities that Preachers Kids do while growing up in the church including Sunday school and vacation bible school.



Darrell began his formal education attending Children of the Rainbow , Knox Elementary School, Hale Junior High, and Finishing his High School Diploma from James Madison High School



Darrell, being such a great handyman began working for Kaiser Hospital, Neighborhood House Association, and Manpower. He enjoyed fixing and repairing anything he could get his hands on, from pluming, to electrical you name it he could

do it. He just enjoyed helping all who needed his help.

He was truly an artist. He loved to sketch and paint he was extremely gifted and artistic.



Darrell was a son that loved his family young and old, especially his beloved mother. He often spoke of how much he loved, admired, and appreciated his mother



God called Darrell home from labor to reward on November 16, 2016. Patiently awaiting for him was his father Pastor Charles E. Gayton Sr., brothers Larry Gayton, and Charles E. Gayton Jr., And many other loving family members.



To cherish his special memories he leaves his Mother, Marietha Gayton, Sister Dionne Gayton-Townsend (Tony) of San Diego Ca ,Brother Ray Gayton of San Diego Ca, Niece Ariel Townsend and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, friends and loved ones

"Happy Birthday my big brother. I miss u so much. I know you have huge party in heaven. . Me and mommy are doing our best. I wish I could hug you and talk to you. But God needed you more. One Sweetie day. Not to soon lol I have work to do. Give daddy a huge hug tell him CHAPPIE is doing well. Daddy girl forever..DG babysitster for life. Love u ? head as you called me. "

"I miss you so much brother my heart is still shattered . I just sit and stare at your picture . I talk to you a lot. I know God needed you more but I was not ready to let you go. There are songs on the radio I can't even listen to them without tears falling your death has took a lot out of people especially me and mom . I know u and daddy are having a good time .. I will continue to look after mommy . RIP TO THE GREATTEST BROTHER I LOVE YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! One sweet day"
