May 7th, 1956 - June 21st, 2013 Ronnie Stewart was born on May 7, 1956 in San Francisco, California to Johnnie Sr. and Louise Hall. Ronnie was one of nine children. He accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age at Providence Baptist Church in San Francisco, California. Ronnie also rededicated his life to Christ at Truth Apostolic Community Church under the leadership of the late District Elder Anthony Williams Sr. Ronnie received his education in the San Francisco School system. After graduating he moved to San Diego, California where Ronnie started his career as a Building Custodian Supervisor for a chain of Down Town San Diego Theatres. He worked with his late father-in-law Lester Cole Sr. in the towing business for Lemon Grove Recycling for a number of years. Ronnie's career was concluded as a Hospitality Supervisor with Hyatt Regency in San Diego, California. In the mist of all of his careers Ron was also a certified welder, painter, plumber and all around handyman. In 1989, Ronnie was united in Holy Matrimony to Carmaline Cole and to this union 8 children were born: Vyonne, Fredrick, Ronisha, Ronnie Jr., Martha, Shamya, Timothy, and Nijiya. Ronnie was a kind and sharing person. He loved his family and friends very dearly. His family was his life. Ron had a love for children. He was the favorite "Uncle Ron" to many. Every child had their own personal relationship with him and their own nickname. Ron enjoyed going on fishing trips with his Father in-law Lester, best friend Rodney, and Mr. McGee. He was even known for taking all the kids to the peer to enjoy a relaxing day (that often turned into overnight stays). Ron loved to listen to music, dance, play dominoes, most of all he loved to watch a good western movie on his favorite T.V. channel AMC. On Friday, June 21, 2013 Ronnie was called home to be with the Lord. Preceding him in death is his parents: Johnnie Sr. and Louise Hall; Sister Phyllis Jean Lee; Brothers: James Long, Phillip Long, and Johnnie Stewart. Ronnie leaves to cherish his memory his children: Vyonne Willis-Stewart, Fredrick Caples-Stewart, Ronisha Stewart, Ronnie Stewart Jr., Martha Stewart, Shamya Stewart, Timothy Stewart, Nijiya Stewart, and Ruban Cabrera; Grand children: Nariah, Ca'Marii, and Aiden; Brothers: Willie Long (Rita Long), Robert Stewart (Maritza Stewart) and Ray McCoy (Monaliza McCoy); Sister Linda Harris (Jackie Lee); Special Friend Rodney Hines; Godchildren: Louis Pecox, Jaela Bowen-Smedley , and Bishop Taylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
