Mary Frances Green August 30, 1951 - November 29th, 2012 Mary Frances Green was born August 30, 1951 in Houston, TX to J.T. Davenport, Jr. and Tommie Mae Davenport. She was the second of six children born to the family. At the age of two, the family relocated to San Diego, CA, where they became members of New Hope Friendship Baptist Church. Mary completed her formal education in San Diego and she graduated from Samuel Morse High School in 1970. In 1970 she married Calvern Green, Sr. Mary chose healthcare as her profession and worked for many years as Certified Nursing Assistant lending her kind and caring spirit to many. Mary was affectionately known as "MeMa". She loved to cook and cater to her to her family. Many will miss Mary's smile, laughter, and kind words of encouragement. Mary was preceded in death by her father, J.T. Davenport, Jr. and her sister, Sandra Buford. She leaves to cherish her memory, mother, Tommie Mae Davenport of San Diego, CA; daughter, Michelle Green of San Diego, CA; son, Calvern Green, Jr. of Bakersfield, CA; four grandchildren, De'ron and Mi-Kal Menifee of San Diego, CA, and Christopher Green and Calvern Green, III of Taft, CA; sister Joslyn Brookins of Vista, CA; three brothers Naim Muhammad and Rodney Davenport of San Diego, CA, and Kerry Davenport of Mesa, AZ; step daughter, Jackie Smith of San Diego, CA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
