Robert Long March 10th, 1964 - November 6th, 2012 On March 10, 1964 Robert Willard Long was born to James Eugene Long, Sr. and Reverda Newsome Long in San Diego, CA. Robert graduated from James Madison High School and attended Waterman Computer College. After graduating from college he found that a computer science career was not what he really wanted to do. Therefore, he began working in the restaurant business for over twenty years until he found the job he loved at the Target store in Lemon Grove. Robert appeared to be a quiet man, but once he got to know you, you would find him to be a very funny and great at telling jokes. He told stories about his friends at Target, who he considered extended family members. He truly enjoyed his job and his manager praised him for being the hardest working person in the store. Fellow employees said he was nice, caring, dedicated, and humorous. Robert received many awards for his hard work and dedication during his 8 years as a Target employee. Robert had a tremendous love for family. He was a great brother and a fun and loving uncle to his many nieces and nephews. Although he didn't have any children of his own he was a wonderful babysitter. His adoring nieces and nephews loved calling him "Uncle Robert". Robert was preceded in death by his parents James and Reverda Long, and his brother Walter Long. Robert leaves to cherish his memory, brothers, Kenneth Long (Lucille) and James Eugene Long, Jr.; sisters, Linda Long-Gardner (Jarrel), Joanne Long, Eugenia Long, Dorothy Long, Judy Long-Pharaoh, Frieda Long-Dantzler (Willie), Betty Long and Helen Long-Vaden (Kelvin); aunts Walterene May and Frieda Funches; nieces and nephews, Kenneth Long, Jr., Walter Horn, Dennis Horn, Jr., Tommy Long, Kenneth Long, Julius-James Newsome Vaden, Sherie Long, Renee Long, Carolyn Long, Angela Ivie (Heath), Tianka Pharaoh, Jarlish Gardner, and Marionne Dantzler; best friend, Glenda; and a host of grand-nieces and grand-nephews, family members and friends. Romans 14:8 "For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's." "You will always be with me in my heart.
